Red foxes are extremly versatile and can be found in a wide range of habitats. They are event present in urban areas. As they have paramount hearing they are able to locate mice even under snow cover. In general, red foxes are active from dusk till dawn and they are mostly nocturnal. Their bushy tail acts as a stabilizer while jumping and chasing prey. 

Red foxes are not endangered, but in some cases they are hunted intensively. I created this drawing after a walk at dusk in the fields where I got the chance to observe a red fox hunting mice.
