About me

My picture

My name is Elisabeth and I am living in Lower Austria.

I am a professionally trained ecologist as well as a wildlife artist dedicated to shining a light on the beauty and fragility of our natural world. I have always been fascinated by the abundance and uniqueness of all creatures living among us, I am inspired each time I am outdoors. My main topics are focused on European wildlife and its natural environment pictured in all sizes and aspects.

I mainly use colour pencils and pastels. I find this combination allows me to create a detailed and realistic drawing of any chosen theme. I’m an active member of the 'Association of Animal Artists' and the 'UK Colour Pencil Society', as well as several environmental non-profit organisations.

Through both scientific knowledge and creative expression, my work focuses on raising awareness of the biodiversity crisis and the many threats wild animals are facing today. To me wildlife & nature conservation is an extremly important issue. A lot of species are threatend at the moment or even on the brink of extinction and thus, they need our proctection and support! I particularly want to introduce some of these species and help build awareness for their current situation.

Every piece I create celebrates the uniqueness of the presented species we share the planet with, while also reminding us of what is at stake if we fail to protect them. By combining wildlife and art, I hope to encourage a deeper connection with nature and a stronger commitment to safeguarding biodiversity for future generations.
