About me

My name is Elisabeth and I am living in Lower Austria.

I am a professionally trained ecologist and I have always been fascinated by the beauty and uniqueness of all creatures living among and next to us. I am specialised on European wildlife in all sizes and aspects. I am truly inspired by our natural environement and its living creatures! There is something amazing to find each time I spent outdoors!

I mainly use colour pencils and pastels. I find this combination allows me to create a detailed and realistic drawing of any chosen theme.

By presenting my drawings I want to capture the peculiarity of nature and I want to create a special connection to and awareness of our natural world. Using my artwork I aspire to show the uniqueness, but also the current threats of these very creatures that we share our beautiful planet with. For each drawing there are some personal thoughts on its creation as well as background information on the drawn species. To me wildlife and nature conservation is an extremly important issue. A lot of species are threatend at the moment or even at the brink of extinction and thus, they need our proctection and support!
I particularly want to introduce some of these species and help build awareness for their current situation.
